A friend shared a summer cherry with me, and I decided to bake a cake from it. Actually, together with her, we then ate it. I have never heard such enthusiastic compliments to my culinary skills and this cake: they praised, praised and asked for more. The drunk cherry cake really turned out to be very tasty. So much so that I gave him the highest mark - I will cook it again for the New Year.

Drunk cherry cake recipe


  • Sugar - 250 gr.
  • Egg - 2 pcs.
  • Cocoa powder - 7 tbsp
  • Flour - 1.5 tbsp.
  • Sour cream - 200 gr.
  • Condensed milk - 0.3 cans
  • Butter - 250 gr.
  • Cherries - 1 glass
  • Cognac - 100 gr. (or vodka)
  • Milk - 2 tbsp
  • Soda - 1/2 tsp


We start cooking in the evening. Remove the seeds from the cherry (using a hairpin or pin). Pour over the cherries with cognac or vodka and leave to "get drunk" overnight. Before cooking, remove the butter and eggs. They should be at room temperature. Prepare a sponge cake. To do this, beat the eggs with 1 glass of sugar until smooth. Then add 4 tablespoons of cocoa, soda and grind everything well. Add flour and sour cream. Grind everything again until smooth. Pour the finished dough into a 23 cm mold (you can from 21 to 24 cm).

In my oven, it took me 25 minutes to bake the dough at 200 degrees.

Allow the cake to cool and remove. While the cake is cooling, we will make the cream. To do this, mix 200 g of butter (already softened) with condensed milk, and then add the "drunken cherries".

Cut the cake in the middle of the edge with a knife and cut into 2 pieces with a thread. Then carefully remove the crumb and crumble into a ready-made cream. Fill the cakes with the filling and fold them together (filling inside).

It remains only to cook the glaze. To do this, mix 3 tablespoons of cocoa with 3 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk and, stirring continuously, cook over low heat until the sugar dissolves. Add 50 g of butter (should already be softened) and turn off the heat immediately.
