    Step 1.

    To salt the mackerel, you need to prepare the brine. For 1.5 liters of water, add 6 tablespoons of salt with a small slide (110 g) for lightly salted mackerel or 7 tablespoons (125 - 130 g) if we want to cook saltier fish. We take sugar 1.5 tbsp. spoons.
    Bring the brine to a boil, add spices and boil for a couple of minutes. Leave to cool. Thanks to the spices, the fish acquires a light spicy aftertaste. If desired, you can salt the mackerel without spices.
